Restaurants That Have Closed During the Pandemic
With all the debate about exactly how bad it is for restaurants in the shockwave of the pandemic, I compiled a list below with the DC restaurants that have closed since the beginning of the pandemic. This is, sadly, just the beginning, others, especially large restaurants and bars, will be officially closing while rent and bills pile up without income. Landlords have been unable to evict restaurants that stop paying rent, and many are delaying a reckoning that will surely come. This includes only DC, and only those restaurants that had not intended to close prior to the pandemic.
