​Ken is the principal and founder of City Grid Real Estate.  Ken's professional career includes a stint in the U.S State Department (Istanbul, Turkey), teaching English (Rome, Italy), legislative affairs for the Federal Communications Commission (Washington DC), and law school at the University of San Francisco and Georgetown University, eventually practicing tax and corporate law at a large firm (San Francisco, CA).

Ken has 20 years in commercial real estate, having founded DCRealEstate.com and DCMud, the city's most popular real estate blog for 7 years (earning a Washingtonian "Best of" in the process), and specializing in retail real estate for a local firm, Ken founded City Grid Real Estate in 2019.  Having represented landlords and tenants for the lease of more than 100 restaurant spaces; multi-family sales from 5 to 75 unit buildings, warehouse sales, and retail building sales and leases in every capacity from fitness uses, theaters, distillers, brewers, coffee roasters and restaurants of every size, Ken has been at the forefront of commercial real estate; advising tenants and landlords in site selection, marketing strategy, social media, lease negotiations and retail design for two decades.
