Located at 2033 K Street NW in DC's Foggy Bottom neighborhood, close to the West End, Farragut West Metro, and GW University, Proper 21K is a chef-driven restaurant and sporting club serving elevated eclectic fare created by Executive Chef Steve Forbes. Proper 21 is the fourth location of the Proper Social team. Like its predecessors, the space maintains the modern aesthetic and New York style of the two Manhattan locations, which have been best described as “Tom Ford meets Thomas Edison”. The restaurant provides state-of-the-art audio & visual for sports, corporate functions, nightlife, and other events as well as boasting the largest outdoor patio in the neighborhood, located on the prominent corner of 21st and K Streets, with wrap-around patio. Operated by the NIEUW Group, a Manhattan based duo that has received acclaim from a wide array of restaurant reviewers in both New York and DC. Proper 21 first opened in DC in Penn Quarter in 2016.
